This article covers details from Loot’s new offers and their pricing, going live on April 3rd, 2025, including related systems such as Rewards, account management, among others.

It’s a long read, as we have lots to cover, so we added a TL;DR section at the start as well as an FAQ section at the end of the article for quick answers.

Highlights: Important terms and details are highlighted to add further information. Make sure to check them all out.

TL;DR (Too Long; Didn’t Read)

We highly recommend that every member read this article in full, as there’s plenty of important information throughout it (Control + F is your friend here!).

For those short on time, though, these are the condensed points for a quick read:

  • Loot’s subscriptions have evolved from 2 to 8 options in total.
  • Besides the Standard plans, which work the same as the current offers, there are plans with added flexibility and even extra bundles. Plus an official Dual plan!
  • Current Standard subscriptions, made via Hotmart, are still valid and will keep on working, with no price changes.
  • Early adopters who subscribe or migrate to the new offers until April 30th, 2025 will enjoy a special price.
  • New subscriptions will be made using Stripe as the payment processor.

Current subscribers

All current subscribers who have their subscriptions under Hotmart are automatically grandfathered into their current offers, indefinitely, while they keep their subscription(s) active. Unless they want to change plans, they can just continue using their service as they do currently, and nothing will change.

Current subscriber: A person who has started their subscription prior to the offer and pricing changes becoming effective on April 3rd, 2025.

Grandfathering: A process through which some subscribers are exempt from any changes and will get to keep their original offers and pricing unchanged.

Automatic: A person will be automatically grandfathered considering they satisfy the condition of being a current subscriber, with no further action needed on their part.

While active: This means canceling your subscription will cancel the grandfathered price.

Indefinitely: This means that the grandfathered pricing is guaranteed until a new round of changes is communicated to the user base.

Non-standard offers: All subscriptions besides the regular $15 subscriptions, including the initial special offer and the Semi-Annual Sci-Fi plans, will keep their current offer and pricing as well. Differently from the standard plans, though, these won’t have a parallel on Stripe yet, so members might want to assess whether it’s worth it to migrate or not.

In particular, subscribers to the Semi-Annual Sci-Fi plan are welcome to reach out to our Support team to check how many bundles they are yet to receive for their latest payment. The plan usually recurs in May and November, so April may be the month where they get the final bundle before a new charge.

New Offers

This is the list of new plans that will be offered starting April 3rd, 2025

  • Fantasy or Sci-Fi Standard plans: Get the current bundle for the chosen subscription.
  • Fantasy or Sci-Fi Flex plans: Get the current bundle OR choose a bundle you don’t already have from the chosen subscription
  • Fantasy or Sci-Fi Premium plans: Get the current bundle PLUS choose one more from the same subscription.
  • Dual plan: Get both the Fantasy AND Sci-Fi current bundles.
  • Dual Flex plan: Choose two bundles, one from each subscription you don’t already have, including the current ones (currently, not available for new subscriptions—only for migration).

In with the new: These new plans, offered via Stripe, will be available on April 3rd, 2025.

Current bundle: The newest monthly release, which comes out on the 1st for Fantasy and on the 15th for Sci-Fi.

Extra content: The bundles you receive include all their associated Extra Content, such as magazines, stat blocks, and more, whenever this content is available, at no extra cost.

Same subscription: the Standard, Flex, and Premium plans are bound to either Fantasy OR Sci-Fi, meaning that when you receive or get to pick a bundle, it will be from the one you subscribed to.

Monthly: All plans recur monthly, so you’ll get all benefits every month.

A new choice every month: Whenever your plan offers you the option of either sticking with the current bundle or selecting another from our bundle store, that choice must be made in that Subscription month release.

Flex perk: If no choice is made within your selection window, you will receive the current bundle.

Premium perk: If no choice is made within your selection window, you will receive the current bundle AND the most recent bundle you don’t own.

Subscription month/Selection window: The period that encompasses the lifetime of a new release until it enters our Bundle Store. It starts when the bundle is released, usually on the 1st of the month for Fantasy and on the 15th for Sci-Fi, and continues until the next bundle is released a month later.

No choices left: Subscribers to the Flex or Premium plans without further catalog bundles to redeem will automatically be downgraded to the Standard plan from the same subscription. If they have it, they’ll keep their grandfathered status and pricing along with this downgrade.

Bundle availability: If your plan includes bundle selection, you can choose from any regular bundle released as part of your subscription, except for the Bonus bundles. Currently, this means Panshaw Under Siege with Bonus and Savage Outbreak in Space with Bonus are not available for selection.

Since they aren’t tied to any subscription, bundles from standalone projects like the Journey series or the Arkham Horror™ packs are also not included.

Subscribing to more than one plan: For this initial rollout, we have enabled our members to subscribe to just a single subscription at a time.

Upgrading plans: Members can upgrade their subscription plan and keep their grandfathered pricing.

These types of changes are considered an upgrade:

  • Any Standard plan to any Flex, Premium, or Dual plan.
  • Any Flex plan to any Premium or Dual plan.
  • Any Premium plan to the Dual Flex plan.
  • Dual plan to any Premium plan or to the Dual Flex plan

Downgrading plans: A user-initiated plan downgrade will remove any grandfathered status, meaning the member will be charged the regular price. In contrast, automatic downgrades triggered by the unavailability of catalog bundles will preserve the grandfathered status.

These types of changes are considered a downgrade:

  • Any Dual, Premium, or Flex plan to any Standard plan.
  • Any Dual or Premium plan to any Flex plan.
  • Any Premium plan to the Dual plan.
  • Dual Flex plan to any Premium plan.
  • Dual Flex plan to the Dual plan.

New Pricing

Until April 30th, 2025, the new offers will have a special price, so members can lock in this benefit by being early adopters. This will also allow members to migrate their Hotmart subscription to Stripe while keeping the same price (if subscribed to the $15 offer only).

The regular price will apply to everyone who starts (or restarts) their subscription after April 30th, 2025. Upgrading your subscription, as listed in the section above, is the only exception to this.

Here’s the breakdown of all prices, including the early adopter and the regular rates:

Plan Early Adopter Price Regular Price
Standard $15/each/month $17/each/month

Flex

$18/each/month $20/each/month

Premium

$30/each/month $34/each/month
Dual $28/month $30/month
Dual Flex $33/month $37/month

Early adopter: A person who subscribes to these new plans until April 30th, 2025.

Regular price: The cost for subscribing after April 30th, 2025.

Taxes not included: These prices don’t include taxes, which vary according to local legislation. The final monthly price will be shown during checkout.

Per subscription: The prices reflect a single subscription.

Automatically recurring: You’ll be automatically charged every month while your subscription(s) remain active on its anniversary.

Only friends: You can keep your subscription active for as long as you find it convenient, with no long-term commitment necessary. Canceling is easily done via our website or Stripe’s Customer Portal.

But with benefits: The longer you keep your subscription active, the more Loot Coins you’ll receive each month to exchange for special Rewards. Extra information about Rewards and Loot Coins is available below in the article.

Using Stripe

These new offers will be made available via Stripe, Loot’s new payment partner, alongside Hotmart for the current subscriptions.

Loot Rewards and Loot Coins

Your Rewards will continue to function as usual, whether you keep your subscription on Hotmart or migrate to Stripe. In both cases, you'll keep accumulating Loot Coins according to your Streak Level and Subscription Plan, and it won’t reset by migrating or changing your plan.

Here are the amount of Loot Coins you’ll receive each month, according to the Streak Level and per Subscription Plan

Streak Level

Standard

Flex

Premium

Dual Dual Flex
Rank 1 (Months 1-3) 75 90 180 180 180

Single or Dual: The Standard, Flex, and Premium plans will increase your monthly streak by 1 each month, relative to the subscription you chose. The Dual and Dual Flex plans will increase both your Fantasy and Sci-Fi monthly streaks by 1 each month.

Frequent Questions

  1. I am happy with my current subscription. Do I need to take any action?

No action is needed. All existing subscribers are automatically grandfathered into their current plans through Hotmart, so you can keep enjoying your subscription as it is.

  1. When can I switch or subscribe to a new plan?

Loot’s new offers will be available for current and new subscribers from April 3rd, 2025 onwards.

  1. Will my plan automatically update to Dual if I’m subscribed to both Fantasy and Sci-Fi?

No, switching won’t be automatic. Any changes to your subscription require your input, so you’ll need to manually opt into the newer plans if you'd like to switch.

Loot does not automatically apply discounts or issue refunds in these cases, so it’s up to each member to choose the option that works best for them.

  1. If I change my subscription to a Premium plan, what will happen when I reach the stage where I don’t have further bundles to redeem?

If you end up without bundles to receive, you'll automatically be moved to the corresponding Standard plan, and if your pricing was grandfathered, you'll keep that as well.

  1. What if I switch to a higher tier plan now, but want to downgrade later on?

If you switch before or on April 30th, 2025, you’ll lock in the early adopter price. However, if you choose to change your plan after that date, any updates will follow the regular pricing.

  1. Will these changes impact my Loot Coins in any way?

Not at all. You’ll continue to earn Loot Coins based on your current Streak Level, which will stay intact if you stick with your existing plan and carry over if you switch to a new one.
