The only change in the Legacy Reward System is happening for those who haven’t reached the 12 Month milestone. For them, buying old bundles will no longer count to accelerate receiving the Rewards. There’s no need to worry about achieving a streak of consecutive bundles, as you’ll get all of them when you reach the 12 Month milestone.
